Bali is hosting the first-ever edition of Asia’s biggest music and digital festival.

Brilio.net/en - Viral Fest Asia 2016, an annual festival organized by WebTVAsia to celebrate the best in Asian music and video revolution, debuts this weekend on the Island of the Gods!

VFA will be held at the Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park in Jimbaran, Bali this Saturday, July 16, and features musicians, content creators, social media influencers, filmmakers, directors and YouTubers from 12 Asian countries. Eight thousand people are expected to attend what organizers are calling an explosive night that includes an All-Star concert, EDM music and a visual extravaganza!

This event will carry a theme of Everybodys Going Viral ... It will go viral because it can be watched from all over the world with live streaming and will be played in all video platform from WebTVAsias partners, WebTVAsia Group CEO Fred Chong told reporters at a recent press conference in Senopati, South Jakarta.

Fred said the show will include 3-D visual art mapping projection, calligraphy with lights and fireworks all designed to incorporate the limestone facades and sculptures in GWK into a stunning visual experience.

He also said Bali was chosen as the venue because everyone loves it!

Music megastars

Music forms a cornerstone of VFA and the inaugural performances in Bali will feature 27 of Asias most popular artists, with a combined following of 100 million people.

They include the K-Pop star Hyuna, who won international fame after co-starring with Psy in the latters music video for Gangnam Style - the first video to ever break a billion views on Youtube. Theres also the Indian rapper Badshah, Japanese dance group Egu-splosion, pop artist and former The Voice of China contestant Guan Zhe and Malaysian rapper Namewee.

Indonesian artists taking part include the 18-year-old singer Al Ghazali (son of rock star Ahmad Dhani), FDJ Yasmin and the band Papinka.

Viral Fest Asia 2016 runs from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Central Indonesia Time (WITA) this Saturday. The after-party with top Indonesian DJs goes from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m.
